A brand new beer that fills the need for that crisp and flavorful, pleasantly aromatic lite beer. Brewed with pilsner malt and rice and judiciously dry hopped with Citra, Citra Lite is a modern tasting crushable beverage meant for big, thirst quenching fizzy sips. Lighter than a pale ale, Citra Lite is more like a pilsner with a bit more citrus and fruit.

Aromas are citrus, pale malt and dry grain. Flavors are similar to nose, bittersweet with a slight lingering sweetness. Decent body and carbonation. Very easy drinking, satisfying beer. Nothing too special but I like it.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated October 5, 2020. Aroma is hop forward with lots of bright citrus notes of orange, grapefruit, tangerine and light pine resin notes. Light grain notes and a hint of alcohol. Puts a rather clear, yellow gold with a medium large, moderately thick, frothy, white head that recedes quickly and disappears. Flavor is slightly sweet with a crisp, light bready, grain note. Medium bitterness and a hint of alcohol. Moderately strong hop notes with lots of orange, tangerine, grapefruit and a bit of pine and lemon. Mouthfeel is light bodied and crisp with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, the malt character and body are very light and crisp. Bright citrus notes with hints of pine.
