Aroma is intensely fruity with lots of dark berry and cherry notes. Medium acidic character to the aroma with a hint of cherry pie. Faint whiskey and medium oak notes. Light caramel and toasted bread quality. Pours a cloudy brown with some copper and ruby notes. Medium thick tan head that recedes fairly quickly to the edges where it lingers. No lacing or legs. Flavor is fairly tart with moderately strong dark, tart, berry and cherry notes. Medium oak quality with a medium light whiskey character that helps compliment the light caramel and toasted malt notes. Some lingering acidity with berry and cherry pie along with a touch of malt and whiskey. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium full carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall a really nice Flanders style sour with a nice complexity of flavors. I’m glad I didn’t completely forget I had this beer in the cellar. The whiskey character is light but there are hints of it, especially in the finish.

Pours a murky ruby-brown into a tulip. Off-white micro head with good retention recedes to hug rim. Cherry and oak aromas. Sweet marshmallow and tart cranberry upfront turning to rye and sour summer berry in the lasting finish. Becomes a little cloying as it sits and warms.
