This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy dark amber to red color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light lacing sticking and then sliding into the beer.
The smell had a strong roasted caramel to nutty maltiness to it.
The taste was mainly the same with an ample amount of light chocolate to balance. Its barely there. A light malty sweet aftertaste leads to a dry sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat subdued but still good for the style and for me.
Overall, I say this was a decent American Amber / Red ale I might be able to have again.
