Cask, half-pint shared with Finn at The Wheatsheaf pub. Crystal clear, golden body Spotty lacing. Subdued aroma of mid-sweet fruits and earthy malts. Herbal hops and bread-like malts in flavour. Mild bitter ending. Decent partner to the Sunday Roast (London, 04.11.2012).

Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. Almost the end of the barrel, and not very impressive. Pouring a slightly hazy amber with a scummy head; and an earthy aroma; an earthy flavour too, with some sweet biscuity malts; and a dry, estery, finish. Very average.

Spoons - Goodmans Fields, London. Hazy amber beer. Little white head. Dry palate, a little soft. Bitterish hops but reasonably well balanced by slightly sweet malt. Trace of banana. Finishes dry. Okay.
