330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with small to average, firm, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, ivory-coloured head. Minimally roasty dark malty aroma, notes of black bread, hints of caramel. Taste is minimally sweet dark malty, notes of treacle, black bread, hints of roast. Very complex for its low abv.

Bottle at home - 14/09/12. Pours to a very rich dark mahogony brown colour, approaching black, with a thin tan head that soon dissipates to the edge. Big coffee nose for a 4.4% beer allied to roasted malts, nuts and a little chocolate. Taste follows on from nose, coffee not as strong as the aroma, a little molasses, chocolate and leather in the taste. Medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to a roasty finish with coffee backnotes. A great flavoursome first stout from W&E !
