Can from Aldi Inverurie. It pours pretty much black with a dissipating frothy light tan head. The aroma is roasty, rich roasted malt, cacao nibs, dark chocolate torte, nutty, praline, dried fruits and plum jam. The taste is firmly, dry, bitter, hard roasted malt, earthy, cacao nibs, ash, nutty, toothy, peppery spice and charred wood with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and highish, foamy carbonation. Not bad, perhaps carbonation is a bit too high and frothy.

Bottle at Craig's. Pours deep brown, nose is toffee, woody, liquorice, taste is sweet, nutty, liquorice.

A pretty run-of-the-mill chocolate stout. I do like that it's quite a dry malt flavour in it rather than going all out on lighter sweetness. Pretty solid and a decent body for the strength too.

330ml bottle from Good Spirits Co. Black with a thin tan head. Dark chocolate, liquorice aroma, Flavour is pretty similar with maybe some vanilla in there too
