Sampled at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. Slightly unclear golden orange body with a moderate sized off-white head. Aroma has malt, something between toffee and liquorice and alcohol. Flavor is sweet malty, toffee, milk chocolate, dry fruit like peaches, moderate bitterness and alcohol. Strong body with a long lasting aftertaste. Drinkable, but feels slightly unbalanced and a bit to robust in a way.

Rerated 07.09.2013, hand pumped @ Bergen Ølfestival:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is roasted malts, caramel, nuts, toast, coffee, hay, soap. Taste is slightly dry and roasted, caramel malts, roasted grain, hay, cardboard, toffee, coffee, nuts. Longlasting bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Completely flat. There is nothing more to say about both aroma and taste than; holy crap on a cracker!!! This is by far the worst beer from Kinn ever, and they are usually pretty damn solid. It’s just kind of medical and lots of green soap, and nothing more. Horrible!!!

On tap @ Henrik. A cloudy deep dark amber-red one with a small sidesticking off-white top. Smells really nice. Sweet and malty, lots of fruits, licorice, wet rocks, leather and red fruits. Almost want to go as far as to say that it smells amazing. The mouthfeel is light oily and the carbonation level is soft to average. Stone sweetness, a little bit of leather and wood, cold or even frozen strawberries and burned matches. Really mouthdrying in the finish. A wonderful aromatic and quite tasty old ale. 29.03.2013

On tap at Henrik. The colour is slightly cloudy orange amber with a small off-white head. A bit sharp aroma of heather, lots of leather, some fudge, sap and some fruity esters. Lots of malt in the flavour along with bread, wood, leather, almonds and nice hops in the end. Has a soft and slick mouth feel, and a lingering medium bitterness. A bit strange aroma, but has a balanced taste. Nice in the end.
