We have captured the mouth-watering summer flavours of Glen Ample raspberries by cold pressing the berries to extract their juice. Cold pressing takes time, but it preserves the sweet, vibrant flavours of freshly picked strawberries and makes juice that is far superior to mass produced cocentrates. We then blend this juice with a special beer brewed only with British malt, hops, yeast and water.

33cl bottle. Pours a plummy-pink bottle with a thin layer of lace. The nose has a cherry/raspberry compote, so sweeter than expected. The taste has raspberry, cream and then more raspberry. The palate is light to medium bodied with a similar texture and a finish which is still a little sweet but not too bad. Overall, not as tart as I’d hoped for, a little one-dimensional.

Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. Poured over ice, it’s lightly hazy with a fine but thick foam head. Sweet, creamy and sugary raspberry aroma. Heavy sweet flavor, nice raspberry. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet, lightly sticky finish, alright raspberry, a little more bitterness now. Not too bad.

275ml bottle from Tesco. Amber with a pinkish tinge and a billowing pink head; clean, fresh, raspberry aroma and flavour; the finish is dry. This is very drinkable - much better than the strawberry version.
