Cask. Goldeny amber colour with a creamy small white head, which lasts for a bit and leaves lace. Aroma is zest, some spices, mild toffee and some grassy notes. Flavour is zesty, some spices, mild sweet malts as well as some slight grassy notes. Nicely fruity, spicy and bitter in the finish.

Cask (handpump) @ Lord Moon Of The Mall - JDW, 16-18 Whitehall, West End, Greater London, England SW1A 2DY.Clear medium to dark amber brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, light licorice - spicy yeast. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, spicy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20111227]

Cask at the John Logie Baird (JDW), Hastings. Golden amber with a thin white head that laced the glass nicely; the aroma is yeasty with some red fruit; the body is grainy with a slightly sour fruit flavour; and the finish is dry with some caramel biscuit and perhaps a touch of spice. Very pleasant and reminiscent of the standard Palm.

Cask at The Hamilton Hall, JDW, London. Pours clear gold with a creamy cap. Lots of lacing. Some doughy malts in the nose. Medium sweet flavor, subtle Belgian yeast, some dough, faint alcohol. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sticky, malty finish, some sweet bread, toasty sugar, weak Belgian character. Drinkable but that’s about it.

cask at AGBell ... soft sweet toffee nose... oversweet toffee ... juicy hop ... nice peach melba fruits ... bit too sweet ...no real balance
