Panda at home, thanks to Ed Danlo. A jet black coloured pour with a halo of khaki head. Aroma is medium sweet, brown sugars, boozy fruit cake, big funky bourbon barrel, woody coconut, jammy notes. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, layered malts, meaty roast, bourbon, mellow funk, boozy. . Palate is thick and chewy, oily, mellow carbonation. Lovely.

Aroma: strong spiced roasted malts, oak barrels, cocoa beans and roasted earthy hops. Taste: strong spiced malts, bourbon, herbal syrupy.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Black brown colour, thin beige rim and aroma of rich malt, chocolate, caramel, bourbon, oak barrel, vanilla, spices. Taste is sweet, malty, chocolate, fruity, sweets, vanilla, with notes of bourbon, spice, booze and roasted, earthy bitterness. Full bodied, soft carbonation, drying roasty malty spiced bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

5/5/2024. Bottle from Beer Republic online. 2018 limited release. Pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is super spiced with nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, allspice, chocolate, ginger biscuit, roasted malt, bourbon. Moderate sweetness, medium spiced bitterness. Quite full bodied, very smooth, soft carbonation. Great aroma and looks, didn’t quite have the wow expected first time around but coming back for another glass later, it got there.

Spice us gentle. Great barrel character.
