Keg at Drygate. It pours murky pond water brown with a dissipating beige head. The aroma is earthy, wood, sweet, dried fruits date, prune, raisin, fruit, meatiness and unfortunately a bit of tangy vomit kicking about. The taste is bitter - sweet, mostly sweet, earthy, toothy, chewy, wood, leather, warning spice, oily, toffee, fudge, date, sultana, warming boozy action and some rawness. Full body and fine carbonation. Oily mouth feel. Aroma is a mixed bag, but it tastes alright, a bit harsh perhaps. Fair.
