Bottle [from trade with Cavemanlawyer, thanks!] @ home. Opaque pitch black color, full sized brown to dark brown colored head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts, heavy cinnamon. Whoa! Flavor is malts and heavy cinnamon again, sweet, light bourbon. Decent to medium body and carbonation. Solid, but cinnamon isn't really my thing.

Bottle @ benzai. Black with a medium sized brown head. Smells cinnamon, spices, sweet, roasty, Apple pie. Tastes cinnamon, cookies, spices, roasty, pepernoten. Full body, soft carbo. Too herbal/spicy for me.

650ml bottle. Slightly spicy, woody and roasty with some notes of bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, oak and toffee, hints of syrup. Pretty nice for a spicy stout.

22oz bottle (2017) pours out dark black topped with a small beige head. In addition to the normal BBA RIS aromas, the vanilla and spices are quite evident. Taste too, sweet and spicy, lots of warmth from the ABV. Really nice.

Bottle sweet chocolatey dark roast aromas not sure what the "spices" are but they are there. Complimentary and subtle. Lots of sweet maltybroast flavor but still well attenuated. Good

650ml bottle (thx, Brian!) shared at Alex's. Pours a dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is lots of ginger, frutiness and some roasted malt and cinnamon. Similar taste. Spiced chocolate aftertaste. Very interesting. It is noticeable spiced but spices are really nice balanced. Very good.

Oxford tastings; vintage 2017
Black color with small brown head. Strong spicy aroma, one of the spices also give a feeling of cleaning product. Thick mouthfeel, sweet, deep chocolate and dark malts flavor, very strong spices, and warming alcohol.
Rough and unbalanced, but the base Stout is delicious as usual.

Black body with a thin light brown head. On the nose, a fair bit of spice - anise and nutmeg maybe mace and ginger. Big sweet dark sugars, with a massive spice character - allspice, nutmeg and a bit of cinnamon. This is a huge spice bomb, and I can see why they've tried to temper this with vanilla and rich dark sugars. This is so assertive, it could be polarizing. Even I'm not 100% sold.
