Draft at the Great British Beer Festival 2013, day 3 - London. Pours clear, dark brown with a light, creamy beige head. Lots of dark fruits in the nose, light molasses, dirt. Medium sweet flavor with dried dark fruits, light dry chocolate, dark toast. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet on the finish, with further dried out dark fruits, dark sugars, toast, mellow chocolate, faint roast. Tasty, and quite drinkable given the strength.

Kindly shared by DJ Monarch, GBBF 2013, on the third day. Jet black body. A few bubbles at the surface. Coffee, chocolate and dried fruits on the nose. Blended flavours of chocolate malts, anise and dried fruits. Bitter sweet ending with tingling alcohol. Vinous impression. Fine bodied. Tasty (London Olympia 15.08.2013).

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2013. Poured a very dark, murky brown with a halo of tan head. Aroma of toffee, liquorice and stewed fruit. Flavours of apple, brown sugar and dried fruit. Watery mouth feel for an Imp Stout. Palate has some more bitter notes of coffee with dark malt and alcohol.

GBBF Day 3. Almost opaque dark brown beer. Small pale tan head. Palate is surprisingly light and semi dry. Rich malt, touch of roast. A little unsweet dark chocolate turning to dark fruits. Whisper of coffee. Finishes rich and semi dry with a light floral note. Good stuff!
