Keg at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell, London. A dark brown coloured pour with virtually no head on top. Obvious smokey aroma. Tastes smokey, almost meaty, some dark fruit, hint of caramel. A little thin and lacking in complexity.

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration. A deep dark brown - almost black one with a nice medium sized beige head. Smoky and ashy aroma - not extreme, also light sweet and licorice-ish. And a hint of fruits. It's average carbonated with a medium oily texture. Smoky flavors also, not extreme indeed, but more subtle. Some liquid licorice. Ends a bit watery in the finish. Did not live up to the name, but definitely tasty. 12.05.2012
