From tap at Pere Antoine Restaurant, New Orleans. Aroma is yeasty and herbal with pale malt, a touch of honey, and a hint of sugary fruits. Medium body. Sweet and simple, nothing noteworthy, dull Blonde.

Draught@Akkurat, Stockholm (old backlog). Slightly hazy orangeish amber colour with a small creamy white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is dark berries, some slight bready notes as well as mild earth. Flavour is caramel, some berries, mild hebrs and some slight grainy and mashlike sweetness.

Can on the streetcar in New Orleans. Pours clear yellow with a foamy, white head. The nose holds pale, doughy bread, faint lemon, hay. Medium sweet flavour with more doughy malts, low bitterness, hay. Light bodied with average carbonation. Fairly sweet in the finish, with some further doughy bread, pale grains, lightly bitter hay. OK stuff overall.

Markey’s, New Orleans tap: Pours light golden with white head. Aroma is pale malts, a hint of hops, some dough. Taste is much as would be expected. It was really mild, but had a nice and creamy texture to it that contributed to easy drinking. Not bad.
