Bottled. Hazy amber colour with a small foamy white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is toasted and smoky tones with some sweet malts and a bit floral elements. Flavour is fruits, some peat and smoked wet wooden tones with mild grains and toffee.

330ml bottle at the Beer Bank, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear dark golden colour with a thin white head and some clingy lace and bubbles. The aroma is big smoky bacon. The flavour is herbal, light sweet, with a smooth, rich, dry, smoked, earthy, yeasty, dry woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. The 10% alcohol was well hidden.

330ml bottle. Slightly milky, dark orangey, golden to amber colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Intense, peaty, smoky aroma, notes of shoe polish, rubber, burnt rubber, hints of wood ashes. Taste is surprisingly mild, peaty, minimally smoky, hints of shoe polish, rubber, a touch of wood ashes, fruity hoppy notes of apricot, yellow stone fruit in general, sweet-ish, pale and caramel malty basis; strange to say, parts of the peat and fruit flavours are amalgamated into something like milk chocolate, honey, nougat; well hidden alcohol. Oily to viscous texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. The intensity of the peat in the nose is nearly of-putting, the more surprising is the mildness in taste: good integration of the smokiness, well balanced and harmonious overall - pretty good.

330ml bottle. Pours lightly hazed dark golden with a beige head. Aroma: intense peat, phenolic, burnt wood, smoky bacon. Taste: moderate sweet & light bitter, smoked grains, savoury smoked meat, tar. Medium bodied with fluffy carbonation. Mental peat monster. The marmite-iest beer of them all. Love it!

Bottle share. Murky dark brown. Peat, peat everywhere. Total bacon fest. Confronting, warming and right up my alley.

21/7/2019. Sample, from bottle, courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours golden amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of peat, smoked cheese, plastic, leather, brown sugar, burned toffee and warm car tyres. Medium sweetness with light bitterness. Medium to full body, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Not a patch on Rex Attitude.

330ml bottle. Golden colour, white foamy head leaving some lacing and aroma of massive peat, tar, plastic, phenolic. Taste is malty, sweetish, then peaty, plasticky, band-aid, leather, tar, tangy barnyard-like, boozey, grassy. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry phenolic finish. Quite extreme!

Bottled 330ml (Beer Republic, BB 10/2018 batch 6)
A bit hazy amber color, small white head. Strong nose has smoke, peat ... whisky. Medium to full-bodied. Front is overriped fruits then berries, peat, smoke and hops. Quite restless but interesting.
