Harvest here, for once, refers to the hops and not the barley. This beer was brewed right in the middle of hop harvest time, so we thought it would be fun to make a beer with hops that were as fresh out the kiln as humanly possible.

Tasting at Papsø’s, as Harvest Ale No. 7
Cloudy blond color; large head due to overcarbonation. The aroma shows a light acidity. Overly carbonated mouthfeel; there is a light acidity and fruity touch; not much malt or hop character.
Refreshing and still drinkable, but with a light infection.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours an almost clear golden with a small white head. Tart, citrusy nose. Medium body, citrusy fruit and quite some yeast. A late metallic twist. Lactic acid - clearly infected. Subdue bitterness. Would’ve been nice if not for the infection. 160612

Hazy amber beer. A few residual bubbles on top. The palate has a nice freshness to it which is in contrast to what is an almos flat beer. There is just a tiny amount of superfine carbonation. Semi dry. Nicely balanced. The toffee has a trace of malt. The hops are very mild indeed. Mild dried fruits and trace citrus. Finishes neutral. Inoffensive and drinkable. A little condition would have elevated this no end.
