This is a bigger, bolder version of our mainstay Pecan Porter, with a richer finish. Two months on recently emptied Jack Daniels select barrels imparted a wonderful vanilla character from the oak and a pleasant amount of whiskey nose and flavor.

On tap at Petrol Station. Pours a very dark brown almost black with a medium light tan head that leaves good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is alcohol roasted malt and chocolate. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet roasted malt and chocolate and nice light bitter finish. Hides the alcohol very well making it easy to drink, a very impressive imperial porter from 512.

Bottle 131/187 thanks to slimchill! Pours black with a small dark grayish brown head. Aroma has a nice combination of pecan, vanilla, dark chocolate and dark grains. Flavor is complex as well with the dark grains the most present in the beginning and vanilla building towards the finish. The pecan is not really present on the tongue.

Rating number 3200 thanks to Ericandersnavy. Pours with a black body and a tan head. The body coats the glass when swirled. Aroma is whiskey, brown sugar, candied pecans, vanilla and chocolate. Not quite sweet enough to be pecan pie, but still a very pleasing aroma. Taste is sweet and rich with lots of toasted pecans, chocolate nuances and bourbon in moderation. Light bubbles, creamy mouthfeel. A very nice Texas beer!
