Slutfest 2013: Pecan nose. Cloudy brown, thin tan head. Flavor is somewhere between maple syrup and bubblegum, but closer to the latter. Odd. Disparate flavors and aromas, muddled with no transitions. Kind of a mess.

Opaque dark brown beer with a good pale tan head. Palate is smooth but dry. Dark chocolate cake. Minerals. Trace of hops but this is a chocolate cake beer!

Drunk to celebrate my rating number 24,5000. Bottled. A hazy dark red beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of caramel, alcohol, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, bread, and dusty hops, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

Bottle 65 cl. Pours a cloudy dark amber with a small off-white head. A rough oakiness - clearly not Bourbon - and a touch of vanilla. Medium body, lively carbonation, some dark dried fruit but the toasted oak and vanilla dominate. A dry finish with some hops. 270812

65 cl bottle @ vPBF
Aroma is sweetish with brown sugar, some toffee, vanilla and hints of licorice. Flavour has vanilla, spices, some brown sugar and dark fruits. A bit too much on the sweet side, but not bad still.
