Against the Grain’s answer to light beers. This session style IPA is all about the hops, but not about the bitterness. We started with the malt base of pale ale, Vienna and wheat, then American hops were employed only late in the boil and post fermentation. The result is a pleasant hop aroma and flavor without the drying bitterness and alcohol.

Keg at CBI, London on 12th January 2013. Hazy amber with thin white head and lacing bands. Citric hoppy aroma. Tangy citrus zing in-mouth coupled with a malty core. Lemony citrus lingering in a shortish finish. Lively mouthfeel and a lightish body make for easy drinking.

Half, 3.5% abv, keg at Craft Beer Co Brixton. Shared with Finn. Hazy golden body. Small, but lasting white head, faint lacing. Fresh floral hops to the nose. Bitter citrus fruits in flavour. Sharp, but rather short-lived, semi-dry, bitter ending. Refreshing drink with session qualities (London, 04.11.2012).

tap at bishop’s arms cph, clear slightly dark yellow, small white head. Flowery hoppy and malty aroma. Appears quite fullbodied considering the low abv. Herbal bitter hoppy, flowery hoppy flavor, hop resembles an english bitter, but more agressive and with a little bit of us hops too. Some sweet malty balance, but still it is quite crisp.
