Designed to accompany more robust dishes such as venison, beef and wild boar. It also complements blue cheese exceptionally well. AROMA ripe blabkcurrants with black cherries and light chocolate. PALATE blackcurrant and molasses over full-bodied dark roasted malts. FINISH dry and bitter with slight sourness and dark fruits.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Opaque murky brown color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, weird, dark overripe fruits, dried fruits even stronger, pretty dry, also plant - like flavors and sourish. Pretty disappointed with this actually.

Bottle @ weekly tasting @ home. Very dark brown colour with a snall off-white head. Smells rinse appelstroop, molasses, plum, slightly sourish. Tastes sour, fruit. Not a fan of dark sours. Medium body, soft carbo.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is blackcurrant, taste is too thin but nice and fruity nevertheless.

Bottled. An unclear brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of chili, berries, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of chili, roasted malt, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

Dark red - amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and semi dry. Mild minerals. Tangy malt with sweet and sour blackcurrant. Finishes slightly papery and dry. Interesting but clunky.

Bottled. Dark brown with a touch of blackcurrant colour. Sweetish, with raisins, roasted malts and blackcurrant juice, before a slightly toasty finish. Ok.

33 cl bottle @ vPBF, BBE 10/2012
Aroma feels a bit moldy and light with some hay and malt. Flavour is weird and bitter in a harsh way. It has nettles, some slightly sweet malt and hints of rubber. Not good.

Bottled 330ml (vPBF; BB 10/2012)
Dark opaque black color, small steady brown head. Dusty, caramel-coffeish, blackcurrant leave aroma. Medium-bodied. Tartness in the front. Black currant, some roasted notes, soya sauce. Quite weird porter.
