Draft @ CBC 2012. Pours a dark brown almost black color with a small tan head. has a roasted malty coffee aroma with weak hints of vanilla. Roasted malty coffee and vanilla flavor with hints of chocolate. Has a roasted malty coffee and vanilla finish.

Tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration, 2012. Black with small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, strong coffee and a little chocolate. Flavour is roasted malts, strong coffee, medium sweet little chocolate, hops and a little bitter.

CBC. Black with a small brown head. Aroma is quite sweet, heavy coffee, roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 110512

On tap at CBC, Copenhagen. Opaque dark brown beer, no head. Light palate, pretty dry. Rich but mellow coffee, obvious vanilla. Adds up to a quality coffee ice cream! Finishes semi dry and with some warmth from the alcohol.

On tap at CBC 2012. Black with a brownish head. A lot of coffee both in the aroma and taste. Also vanilla. roasted malt and fruit. Nicely drinkable.

Copenhagen Beer Celebration, 2012. Pours black with a creamy head. Lovely roasted coffee/mocha nose. A bit of vanilla and charcoal. Whiff of alcohol. Really dry and bitter end. Tasty.

From cask. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is smooth roasted coffee and dense vanilla. Dense bitter, dark roasted malty and smooth vanilla. Dark roasted malty finish.

[5/11/12] Draught sample at Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Black and flat. Aroma full of coffee beans. Bittersweet flavor with coffee beans, vanilla, some roastiness and light fruity notes. A drier alcoholic finish. Medium-full-bodied.

Sample @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Pours black with a small mocha head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is sweet with coffee, toffee, milk chocolate, toasted malts, vanilla and hints of alcohol. Taste is very sweet and tiny bitter with dark bread, coffee, roasted malts, vanilla, toffee, wood, bitter chocolate and alcohol. Mouthfeel is tiny dry, sticky sweet and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, coffee, molasses, orange zest, wood and alcohol.
