Traditional english bitter with a delicate balance of hops, caramel malts and yeast esters. Interlude of the slightly outlandish bitterness of Goldings and Galaxy hops is followed by a full bodied caramel backbone matching the fruitiness of english style yeast.

On tap at Labietis, pours a clear copper golden with a small beige head. Aroma brings out English bready malt and subdued hops. Flavour brings out light English hops and some bready malt. Subdued and laid back, with not much of anything to write about.

Clear medium amber colour, tall and thick creamy off-white head, collapsing slowly, fair lacing. Aroma toasted malts, caramel, light apple and citrus. Flavour light to medium sweet and bitter, malty, light caramel, fruity notes. Mild dry sweetbitter finish, malty and hoppy notes; light body, watery texture, soft carbonation; okay well-made bitter.

Tap @ the source. Nice relatively clear copper pour, some off white foam on the top. Light caramel and bit of fruitiness in the nose. Taste is quite balanced, on the hoppy side of course. Quite refreshing and crisp with underlying caramel and malts. Pretty good bitter, not the biggest fan of a style but this one I can drink. Relatively in large quantities I guess.

Good, bit fluffy dirty-cream head, really stable over hazy amber beer. Ureum and some cheese in the hops, but the coloured malts and the Goldings make it smell pretty different from a comparable American style pale ale. Bit of freshly chopped wood, even earthy, cardboard, as well as a not unpleasant waft of lavender. Bitter, leafy, earthy. As an Urbock with no restsugars and top fermentation. Dry, bitter finish. Feels reasonably bodied for only 4.4%, creamy head is so stable it enhances the MF throughout. Pretty decent beer, almost entirely to style. Bitter from Lithuania? Why not, but I would like to see some more indigenous traditional styles, if possible. 7/4/7/3/15
