Aged in Opus One Cabernet wine barrels. Our interpretation of Belgian inspired dark Saison brewed with over 8 different imported German and English malts and then gently hopped with German Perle hops. The beer was fermented with a French farmhouse style yeast strain to lend dark fruit notes with hints of cherries and currants that then finishes with a dark chocolate flavor.

22 oz bottle poured into a Belgian snifter. Mostly black with some ruby/brown hues on the edges, one finger of beige head. Aromas of red wine, oak, light caramel. Tastes of red wine, purple grapes, dark fruit, light funk, bit of oak. Medium body with a dry and tangy finish.

Draft at brewery, 10oz served in snifter. Poured a dark black color, not translucent, but sorta close. Aroma was wine barrel, with some sweet fruits, tart notes. Flavor was nice tart fruits, plenty of wine barrel in this one.

Watery deep amber with some sudsy white head. Nose has some sweetness, some cherry, red grape, some grape jelly, a little cooked greens, some toasted oak. Flavor is sweet, lightly bitter, a little vegetal, cherry, some red grape, some mild balsamic. Clean finish. Nice treatment.

On cask at the Oak Aged Beer Paired with BBQ dinner. Pours a cloudy light cola with an ecru head. Peppery nose. Smooth oaky mouthfeel. Slight cabernet notes with big oak and vanilla flavors dominating. Short tart finish.
