Novum has a bright amber color with a slightly off-white head. Aroma of delicate cherry and floral notes with hints of oak, vanilla, and candied fruit funk lead to a taste that is moderately sour with an almost pomegranate-like tartness, and a dry finish.

22 oz bottle from the brewpub for rating #2,000. Pours a hazy light amber with an off-white head. Lactic, yogurt-like aroma with berry. Flavor has a light sourness to it, tart red wine flavor, green grape, with a bit of pale malt and an oaky edge. Gets tastier as I go on.
