On tap at the brewery. Pours amber with a white head. Buttery aroma with peaty maltiness. Flavor is quite heavy on peaty, smoky, buttery maltiness. Never had a Scotch ale this peaty. I wasn’t really sure about it until I reread the description and started thinking about it in terms of Scotch, and then it suddenly made a lot of sense. This is very Scotch-like: I’m even tasting iodine. Once that clicked it was very enjoyable.
