Being pursued by a giant assortment of laser-equipped cupcake-spaceships is many things, but it is certainly no time to panic. Miracle Mike and his galactic canine Bionic have been through far worse, and they always seem to find a way past the relentless pursuit of the Space Cake fleet. This Double IPA features robust hop aromas that carry through to the strong juicy flavors of tropical citrus. A sweet and strong malt backbone pairs with a subtle booziness to make Space Cake an approachable DIPA fit for an extraterrestrial odyssey.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a glowing gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Dank tropical fruit nose: banana, pineapple and peach aromas. Sweet peach on the palate, honey and booze. 22 oz bottle shared by a friend at SΕ Korean Barbeque in Centreville, VA. Thanks Tyler! Hazy orange with off-white head. Aromas of biscuit, floral, orange citrus. Tastes of floral notes, malt, citrus, biscuit. Medium body with a dry finish.

Pours a darkish amber from a tap, thin white head with good lacing. Big tangerine aroma, similar flavor with a good malt backbone. A little sweet, but well balanced, good bitter finish without mouth puckering. Very good beer.

Located in a beer-buying swing through a large liquor store in the Dallas area. Clown Shoes usually hits it right and Space Cake is further proof. The bomber pours an interesting orangey yellow body while delivering a crisp white top. Nice ongoing bubble action too. It smells of freshly mowed grass and pineapple. The taste is very hop forward, a slam almost. The label says Mosaic, my favorite. It calls up citrus, hay and a touch of yellow plum sweetness. Strong bitterness from start to finish. A great brew to sample at the start of summer over the Memorial Day weekend.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a fingerβs worth of white foamy head that slid off at a mild pace. Sliding messy lace.
The aroma had some sweet citrus, resin/pine, earthiness, hop spice and a little bit of lemon rind.
The flavor was basically the same, combining the sweet to the spice and allowing a nice bitterness to end appropriately. Light maltiness to blend nicely. Aftertaste was citrusy with the pine filling in quaintly. Finish was quick yet blended between the hops and malts.
The palate was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt good.
Overall, pretty good DIPA that I could possibly come back if necessary.

650ml bottle from Kihoskh. Bottled 11/30/15 :(. Pours orange with a smooth foamy head. Aroma of caramely malts, old hops, earthiness, hints of vegetables, grass, pine and resin. Taste is malty, caramely and sweetish with some old hoppy notes, grass, pine and resin. Finish is malty and sweetish with some caramely notes, grass, citrus, pine and resin. Unfortunately not very fresh.

Light haze on this gold beer, good cream colour head. Palate is smooth with decent fine carbonation. Smooth pale malts, mild malt cream. Hpos start spicy and move into smooth pine. Light tropical fruits and fruit salad, trace of crystallised. fruits. Smooth finish. Spicy linger. Decent.
