Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen (Nøgne Ø Takeover 24/06/2015) - yellow pour with white head. Citrus fruity and grassy aroma and taste, lots of floral hoppy nuances going on, yeast, straw, lemon, hay, very nice hoppy Saison, prefer this to the other Saison. Lovely.

Fat på Bishop Savoy Malmö. Smak och doft av humle, malt, citrus, hö, gräs med toner av peppar. Torr, något sträv, lagom sötma, lätt fruktig, fin beska med smak av citrusskal.

Taste is slightly bitter, fruity and tiny phenolic with crackers, grapefruit juice, pineapple, mango, freshly cut grass, pine needles, cape gooseberries, passion fruit, dry soil and hints of white pepper corns. Mouthfeel is dry, tiny oily bitter and medium bodied. Finish is fruity and tiny phenolic with crackers, grapefruit juice, unripe tropical fruits, freshly cut grass, pine needles, dry soil, minerals and hints of white pepper corns. Solid hopped up saison.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Opaque hazy orange color, huge soapy white to off-white head that lasts for a long time. Aroma is lightly malts, lightly citrus, lemon, orangepeel. Taste malts, orangepeel, fruitpeel bitter. Fizzy carbonation, medium body.

Bottle @ benzai. Hazy/murky yellow colour with a medium to large sized white head. Smells fresh, slightly sourish, malts, herbs and spices. Reminds me of Oersoep brewery. Tastes slightly sour, malts, brett, white ipa, some herbs. Way too much carbo, medium body.

0.33l bottle @ Crowbar. I so love this aroma.. In the glass this is a light cloudy kinda golden light orange one and it has a nice big super lacing white head with great retention. As I mentioned, I just dig this aroma some much. It's just so brett infused, hoppy, fresh and amazingly inviting. Grassy hoppy with sweet saison-peachy fruits and it just smells really good. Tastes great as well with a bretty both semi dry and semi sweet flavor. It feels light oily in the mouth and it has an just above average carbonation level. I get a dry hay like flavor here, lots of funky almost bretty saison yeast. Lots of grapefruit bitterness and citrus. There is also a kinda stingy almost peppery burn on the tongue here. It ends with a light dry mouthfeel and leaves your wanting more. Still, I definitely prefer the other version, but glad I got a chance to try this. 17.10.2013

Bitter hopfiger Antrunk. Wenig grasig, die Bitterkeit ist deutlich intensiver als der angenehme Hopfen. Süffig, bitter getreidig, passend trocken. Herber werdend, die Hopfigkeit nimmt etwas ab. Würzig hopfiger Ausklang. Gut! 10/11/12/11/11/11

22/XII/13 - 33cl bottle @ home - bottled: 9/IV/13 (2013-1167) Thanks to Bo for bringing the bottle to Belgium!

Note: tasted at about the same age as I tasted the Nøgne / Bridge Road (version brewed at Nøgne), which I thought was amazing.
Clear deep blond beer, big crackling white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet malts, caramel when opening the bottle, then orange flavoured effervescent vitamin tablets, spices, hint of coriander, orange peel, citrus fruits, bit dusty, some alcohol, bit of hay. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: dry spicy start, orange peel, pretty bitter, grassy, floral touch, fruity notes, little sourish, is it a touch of bretta in here? Aftertaste: citrus, little fruity, bitter hops, some alcohol, grassy, spices, coriander, orange peel, little bit of sweet malts, lemony, bitter ending. Maybe my expectations were pretty damn high because of the Nogne version, but I have to admit I was a bit disappointed, despite the fact that this is a solid beer.
