Pale amber, greenish shine, small amberish head. Chaff, grapey American hops, very subdued, some ambrée malts. Sweetish, fruity, again especially grapes, sour grapes. Hoppy bitterness gradually builds, always leaving some restsugars in the oral cavity, tasting like cane sugar. Medium bodied, medium slickness, even some refreshing properties. Nice beer, in se. It’s about as German as Weisswurst with Heinz ketchup and Freedom fries.

Much better than the first time I tried it. The malt and "bock" flavor is rather light, and the standard bock aroma is there but subdued. somewhat sweet, with an odd herbal taste as well. Alcohol is well hidden, but this needs to be a little sweeter with more malt and caramel.

Not bad, not bad! Summit Maibock is not the most complex beer, but it does have a nice, sweet malty flavor typical of the style. A pleasant brew on all accounts, and one I'd be willing to purchase.
