Courtesy of markwise. Pours clear deep gold with micro thin white head. The aroma is sugar sweet sprinkled with dirt and then floral hops and a bit of sweet corn. The taste is grainy to sugary malt sweetness to go along with a layer of floral hops.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a large creamy white head that lasts awhile that leaves behind good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a skunky malt with citrus and grass. Thin mouthfeel with a yeasty malt taste and light hop flavor. A decent heller bock from Summit.

12 oz bottle–pours a foamy off white head and gold color. Aroma is lemon, Euro-skunk, light malt-bready, yeast. Taste is sweet light malt, slight bitter-herbal/spice hops, alcohol. Lots of effervescence. Not clean as a bock style lager should be. Thanks to Joe-jwc215 for picking this out.

12 oz bottle that was part of a Spring sampler that a friend of mine brought to a poker night. Pour is copper golden with a smallish white head that faded fast. Aroma of sweet honey and light lime citrus. Fair amount of caramel maltiness behind that. Taste is the nose, in nice balance. Palate is fairly flat, straw dryness, medium-thin, drinkable. Overall a decent enough beer.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of Skyview... the LAST of the local tis the season swap. Too bad. Pours a clear copper color with a medium head. Average head retention and lacing. I find the aroma very odd with sweetish and slightly toasted malts and lots of overcooked corn. Some nuttiness. Taste is toasted malts, caramel, corn and bitter hops. Medium bodied. Odd one.

22oz bomber bottle. Hazy, glowing golden-orange color with a healthy thick head. Mellow lager aroma. Sweet and thick on the palate, very smooth. Subtle fruity yeast and malt characteristics. Some light sandy carbonation and hops in the background. Quite rich and delicious, this is really an excellent example of the Heller Bock. Well done.

12 oz. bottle, poured in "straight" lager mug. Lively brown color under a rocky head. Nice, warming malt smell. Lightly sweet Vienna and caramel malt taste, well balanced by a sharp, slightly peppery German hop note. What can I say, I liked it.

Sourish tart aroma, looks like a ubiquitous pale yellow american lager beer. Pretty nice creamy head. Stronger initial flavor hit that starts off mild then goes into building alky bitter bite. Unique suspicious taste. Sullen and brisk, this beer tastes about as the 7% would indicate. Strong americanized tripel alky flavors. Irresolute and spirited. Finish is quite medicinal, alky and I think it is oppressive at times. Does have a male goat kick. Cannot hold a candle to Nova Paka Valdstein or Victory St. Boisterous Hellerbock.

From tap. Pours golden yellow with a white head. Aroma is hay and corn. Flavour is corn, soft malty with a slight sweetness. Bittersweet finish. OK maibock but doesn’t really match the original German ones.

Bottle. Rather clear amber color with quite a bit of carbonation and a small white head that has died down to a thin surface covering in short order. Aromas are sweet and grainy with a little bit of a grassy note in the background. Flavor is much heavier than I expected. You can tell that it has a 7% ABV and there is a solid malt body that supports it. That said, I’m not sold on it... the flavors are OK, but nothing that is going to make my week. Subtle mix of intriguing flavors is not why you would buy this... Big alcohol body... sure.
