As Bronckhorster Dubbel. Ulfborg Scooper Smagning 2012. Red-chestnut with a small off-white head. Aroma of anise, with a bit of apple peel and caramel. Sweet caramel and spice flavour, indeed a bit Jägermeister-cloying

(Draught at In de Wildeman, Amsterdam, 15 July 2011) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Spicy, malty nose with liquorice root, cough-medicine (or Kan Jang) and caramel. Malty, spicy taste with notes of liquorice, cough-medicine, dried fruit, raisins and a bitter sweet finish. Slightly more than medium body, quite sweet. Interesting beer.
