Bottle at a ChrisO tasting - London. Pours lightly hazy red-brown with a foamy, off-white head. Dull toasted malts in the aroma, some socks. Alright flavor though fairly bland, just some light toast, burnt plastic and hints of cocoa. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild toasted malts on the finish, faint dirt. Not terrible but overall pretty bland.

Bottled. Clear dark brown, huge head. Mildly lactic nose. Mid sweet with light body. Overcarbonation makes the beer spritzy and diluted. Some molasses, almost thin and metallic in the finish whixch has slight cocoa bitterness.

A very dark brown beer with medium, dense and beige head. Aromatic hop aromas plays main role in the aroma, grapefruits and pine forest, also nicely balanced roastiness and some chocolate; interesting and succesfull aroma. Taste is nice roasted, bready, coffee and hops are still quite dominant, pine and grapefruits. Medium- bodied, quite high carbonation, but still quite smooth to drink. Nice and fresh brown ale, Cascade gives nice livelyness.

33 cl bottle. Batch #410, BBE 1.7.2012
Aroma is roasted with cocoa, coffee, some fruity hops and hints of ash. Flavour has lots of coffee, some crisp hops, nuts, tobacco and ash. Reminds me of brilliant Nøgne Ø Brown Ale – this is just slightly watery, more ashy and hoppy. Good.
