(Bottle) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with toffee, bread, treacle, orange peel and citrus. Malty taste with notes of rye bread, orange peel, treacle-toffee, citrus and a nice citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, fairly dry. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Flaske 0,5l spandert av Rune og delt med ham 1 Mai 12. Brun på farge. Høyt luftig skum. Svak karamellaroma. Smaken er drevet av malt. Ganske lett. Svakt syrlig ettersmak. KI=5

Dark amber color, with big creamy head. Good malty aroma, caramel, a bit buttery, and nutty; light cereals too; a wonderful combination actually.
As usual from Sigtuna, it’s quite dry, with dark malts and dry caramel flavor, and a light grainy edge; strong bitterness.
Good but not fantastic, but for sure one very interesting Nordic Easter ale, balanced, with light alcohol.

500ml bottle shared with Finn. Pours a clear, dark brown body covered by a decent off-white head, leaving fragile lacing behind. Mild roasted malts to the nose. Taste of roasted malts thinned with nuts and notes of dark fruits followed by a smooth bitter ending. Medium to thin bodied. Easy going. Paired well with our spicy food (Tromsø, 01.05.2012).
