Crystal malt - golden brown, with rounded malt and hops throughout, and that characteristic afterbite of a true craft brew that makes a favourite.

Clear gold beer, small off white head. Palate is light, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, slightly thin, a thin creamy sweetness, touch of grain, really nothing to be concerned. Light marmalade hops, a little crisp pine. Light and semi dry finish. Tidy if fairly old skool affair.

500ml bottle bought at Lifecraft, IoW. Shared with Finn and lmojoh. Bright amber-gold body, bubbly, white head, clingy lacing. Promising aromas with cereal malts and leafy hops. Pale malt-driven taste joined by mid-dry hops. Pale malty ending with a bitter touch. Drinks well. Pleasing. (Tromsø 21.12.2022).

Bottle at Reef, Sandown. Aroma is non-existent. Clear light gold. Light-medium bitter with a vaguely citrus tart edge. Cardboard. Light. Thin. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. Weak weak stuff.

Bottle from a stall at Tulleys Farm, Crawley. Pours an almost clear golden/amber colour with a thinnish white head. Aromas of citrus, floral, bread and toffee. Taste has more notes of citrus and floral with fruit salad sweets with a long citrusy bitter hop on the finish. Thin to medium body, average carbonation and very smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Quite a nice refreshing beer.

Bottle from Lifecraft, Cowes, drunk at home. Mid-gold, clear and fairly flat. Slightly buttery, with notes of hay in the aroma. Bittersweet taste with a vegetal and spicy flavour. Bitter and slightly astringent in the finish. Hot buttered TCP in the aftertaste. Hard to believe that beers like these are still being made in 2019. Not terrible but not interesting.
