Sin & Remorse is a 4-grain Imperial Stout brewed by Brewery de Molen and Jopen. A multi-grain beer with 38% rye, 24% oats and a touch of wheat. Traditional English Brown Malt tends to add strong coffee and chocolate tones. The result: a beer with full body (De Molen) along with loads of grain (Jopen). A beautiful combination of flavors!

Bottled. Dark pour. Dark chocolate malts, some berries and fruits, not super roasted. Medium body. Beautiful.

Bottle at home. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, mocha, dark and milk chocolate, liquorice, with a touch of dark fruits. Flavour is above medium sweet and moderate bitter. Body is full. Tasty Impie Stout, bit heavy on the liquorice, big bittersweet flavour. No remorse!

Synthetic cork bottle, mooch tasting, courtesy of Sergey
Black colour. Aroma of dark malts, rye, chocolate, earth. Undercarbonated, with just somme light residual sweetness; the malt flavour is modest, there is no depth, but it has some interesting earthynote, dry fruits, coffee, and a touch of vanilla and tobacco in the finish.
Unusual; it's ok.

750ml shared with Phill @ Matt's new place. Appearance: dark brown with no head. Aroma: dark malts with a slight sweetness and dark fruits, seeds, inky. Taste: along the same lines, almost flat, which is probably a result of the shitty plastic cork used. Overall: pretty good, I just hope that it wouldn't be flat.

750mL bottle, pours jet black, basically no head. Nose is bone dry, with lots of English bready malt, crusty bread, a little coffee, and dry earthy hops. Flavour is very dry, roasty and hoppy, with intense roasted malt, black liquorice, lots of hops, and earthiness. This is a very unusual imperial stout: it's attenuated out to near-bone-dryness, has essentially no carbonation, and finishes fairly oily. Dry, flat finish. What an interesting beer.

Multi-grain imperial stout by Jopen collaborating with De Molen, two of Holland’s craft brewing pioneers in this modern age, bottle shared by Steve, cheers! Yellow-beige, moussy, open ‘ring’ for a head, hazy very dark chocolate brown robe with burgundy edges. Aroma of old walnuts, caramel, toffee, rum, brown honey, marmite, faded vanilla, thyme, chicken stock, wood glue. Restrainedly sweetish onset, strong umami effect (soy sauce, porcini, chicken stock cubes) – annoyingly so; soft carb, full and oily mouthfeel. Hard-caramelly, walnutty and eventually bitter-chocolatey maltiness, brown bread crust, spicy notes (thyme) and a whole lot of astringent, whisky-like booze – too astringent for my liking. Not my cup of tea, to be honest, but I was admittedly drunk when rating this one so I should probably give it a second chance some day.
