Dray Bells is a crisp mid-amber bitter, with a nose of sweet satsuma and a hint of spice on the palate from the addition of cloves to the brew, epitomising the taste of Christmas. The mouth feel is long but with a crisp dry-hop finish.

Cask @ Crown Inn, Hebden Bridge. Dark copper ale with a thick creamy head. It's a spiced ale with a very easy-drinking texture and a smoothness. Has a bitter finish.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Floral and spice aroma. Light chestnut. Thin white soap sud head. Another seasonal beer with a mix of spices that just doesn't appeal to me. Down as a bitter but the spices are what come through. Light-medium bodied. On the thin side. Flat carbonation. The spices don't pep it up for me, just give it a soapy flavour.

Cask at the Town Mills, Andover. Copper coloured with a creamy cream head that provides lots of lacing; the aroma has malt ans some mulled wine spices, with cloves to the fore; the taste is sweet with some nutty malts and more Christmas spicing; which gives a rather dry finish. Not overpowering, but definitely a hint of Christmas.
