Inspired by the famed Filipino surf break“Cloud 9,” and the clear tropical waters there within, we chose coconut as the star ingredient of this saison because much like the smooth ride you will find on these waves, the coconut will glide across your palate like a fresh ocean breeze. As a reminder to the fact that the ocean is not without its dangers, we've added black peppercorns from nearby southern India that will lend a slight bite to the finish of this sultry brew. So have fun in the sun, but look out for sharks!

5 oz pour on draft at Barrel & Bushel, Tysons Corner Center. Hazy bright yellow with off-white head. Aromas of herbs, citrus fruit and peel, light coconut. Tastes of light coconut, herbs, citrus fruit and peel. Subtle funk if any. Medium body with a dry finish. Nice coconut flavors on top of the herbs and citrus.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a rich and super large, six centimetre tall pure white fluffy head. Aroma of grass, coriander seed, curacao, wheat, tons of yeast, bread and a faint bit of coconut. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong yeast and wheatie flavours at first with some bananas and bubble gum noticeable, a bit of clove and a lot of coriander seed freshness, some light grass and herbs, but a very fresh flavour throughout. Aftertaste is mellow and subdued with the yeast, coriander seed and light spice the most noticeable, but it all finishes well and subdued with a bit of complexity as well. Overall, a pretty good beer for the style and the name (of what they were going for) that surprised in the right direction - This is worth trying to find, especially if you like saisons, but just in general as a local-ish beer. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 12-December-2015 for US$5,99 sampled at home in Washington just after the Blizzard of 2016, but in a 58deg F day, on 26-January-2016 in celebration of the beer: winter + coconut.

22oz bottle bought at Total Wine - Springfield VA. Poured a hazy yellow-orange color with a huge, fluffy white head, kept a nice lacing on the sides of the glass. Small wispy white head remains. Aroma was light sweet malts, touch of yeast character. Light lemon notes in the flavor, with sweet malts, and a light coconut character. Pretty tasty. Ends with a light tropical finish.

Bomber shared at a tasting. Hazy orange, thin foamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of pale bready malt, lemon and coconut. The taste is tart lemon, pale malt mild coconut. Medium bodied, lingering spice. And then Brian started an all out dog brawl. Oof.
