330 ml bottle. Mahogany red body with a nice, but fast disappearing beige head. Aroma is caramel malt and dry, red fruit. Flavor is sweet malty, caramel, matured fruit and moderate bitterness. Noting really special going on here, but this beer has a nice and balanced flavor and probably one of the better Norwegian Christmas beer outside the state monopoly I.E. less than 4,8 % ABV

Pours clear deep amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt and caramel. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. Pours clear dark amber with a nice off-white had that disappears. Aromas of sweet caramel and roasty malts with hints of spices. Hints of hops in the aftertaste. Not too sweet, but a decent "shop strenght" Christmas beer.

330 ml bottle, from my local grocery store. ABV 4.7%. This is a completely new recipe this year, from Lervig’s head brewer Mike Murphy. Dark brown colour, moderate beige head. Moderate malty aroma, some caramel. Easy drinking Münchener dunkel flavour, some caramel but not too sweet, some mild roasty notes, hints of brown bread. Has not the body of stronger Yule beers, of course, but should satisfy the average Norwegian’s need for a beer to go with his traditional pork rib dinner, especially with a dram of aquavit at the side.
