Draught at Craft Heads. Yellow pale cloudy with small thin white head. Looks bit like a wheat beer. Aroma is ultra yeasty, sweet and weird, bit of bubblegum (sorachi ace?). Tastes like a lovely sweet saison with bubblegum and citrus. Some banana too. Spritzy in the mouth. Strange, interesting and very nice beer.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Hazy gold with a half-finger of white foam. Really nice yeasty saison-like nose with rice, mikan, pepper and some floral aromas. Slightly above average carbonation with some rice-forward sweetness. Some green apple and pear come out as it warms. Very much like a saison or Belgian strong golden ale. Hides the 7 percent fairly well. Finish is slightly sweet with some light dry peppery bitterness. Very similar to Shiga’s Yamabushi saison 1. A great, unique Japanese beer. --- Beer merged from original tick of Yago on 02 Mar 2016 at 22:11 - Score: 8. Original review text: This is equal to or better than yanabushi saison 1. Period. Underrated as hell. Great saison! One of Japan 's best original beers.

Bottle thanks to Jeremy. Pours a cloudy orange color with a small white head. A big fruity lemon and earthy. Watermelon, dry earthy base, lemons. Quite smooth. Good. Like a wit bier.

Bottle pours out straw color topped with a small white head. Nose is belg yeast spice grain and some pepper. Taste is more of the nice spice mix fruit notes and a great end.

On tap at the Kyoto 2014 Craft Beer. The Yago poured a cloudy light gold with a pretty nice banana & cloves aroma. Medium bodied with tons of weizen flavor, really spicy with cloves up the wazoo. Tasty but an aggressive weizen like beer.
