This is the second beer that I have encountered from this brewer. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a trace of a tan head that fades quickly. The aroma is sour and light roasty on the finish. The flavor is sour, tangy and bitter with a hint of dark malts and a sour and tangy finish. Fairly macroish but tolerable.

Black color, very rare in Spain. Sweet malt aroma, and light cereals. Common taste, boring, a touch of bitter caramel is the only difference between this one and a blond beer. Long bitter finish.

Bottled. Near black, brief small head. Light coffee aroma with an abundance of cereals to go with it. Sweet and roasty with medium body, notes of cardboard and fizzy mouthfeel. Salty finish. Salty, raw and fairly unrefined.

Dark color, short head. Aroma of roasted malt, some typical spice. Taste is spicy and bitter, nicely balanced. Decent dunkel.

Bottled - fourpack from the El Corte Ingles in Barcelona. Says it’s a dark lager beer with Mediterranean flair. Well, I certainly didn’t notice that. It’s an average dunkel, which seems to be great for a spanish beer. Dark brown colour, small and dissapearing head. And it’s a little weak. It wasn’t offensive, and I could drink it again.

Gracias a Matta por esa!! My first Spanish beer! This was a bonus from the Tampa Trader!!!! (And not a bad beer, as you’ll see...) Pours with a huge, off white head that lays a heavy lacing on the glass. Aroma is Toasted Mocha Caramel Candies. Full mouthfeel and flavor. I wasn’t expecting this from Spain. Very Nice!

A black beer with a brown head. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted bread, caramel and an OK bitter end. The body is thin.
