Moersleutel spin on a classic English Stout. We love Rye. This beer has 35% rye malt. Expect it to be big and bold for it's ABV. Special brew for our UK friends: Beer52.

Friday evening, 28th February 2025, Margie is out having a girly meal out and I'm home alone with Bertie (my 12 year old Collie) and having a mini beer tasting. Fourth beer of the session a 330ml can of this (via Beer52). Poured into my old Gordons thistle shaped glass. Dark brown body, beige crust. Rye rules the nose and initial taste, as the head fades away far too swiftly. Gives me an old Dandelion and Burdock feel, which isn't a bad thing!

330ml can. Pours a dark cola brown with brief beige fizz; doesn't look great. Aroma of dark chocolate and malt with a slight rustic edge, some sweet liquorice. The rye comes through more in the flavour, bit like a rye cracker with dark cocoa dusting, sweet spice and mild liquorice finish. Semi drying, a touch light in mouthfeel.
