(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 9 Aug 2008) Golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with orange, hints of dusty hops and malt sweetness. Fruity taste with notes of citrus and biscuity malt. Short, citrussy finish. Decent, but rather boring.

Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Straw colour with a white head; sweet vanilla aroma; creamy in the mouth with honey and a trace of citrus; a sweet and honeyed finish. Light and refreshing, but too sweet for me.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 19/6/07. Pale gold with slight white head. This was a bit like the old BBC Seaside Specials of the 1970s: inoffensive, superficially attractive, unmemorable and creating little impact. This had little aroma or flavour worth mentioning, but was easy enough to drink once.
