In May 2020, we made an amber coloured extra strong wort using munich, rye and oat malts to produce a rich full body in the resulting beer. Muscavado sugar and aged hops were added to an extended boil. The wort fermented in our coolship with only wild yeast and bacteria, before maturation in two first use bourbon barrels for 26 months before bottle conditioning with the addition of organic maple syrup.

LCI. Layered Mills. Classic underlying Johnny Mills tart funk, barrel bourbon sweetness and roundness with the maple.

Bottle. Mills online shop. Hazed deep amber. Very decent off white foam. Nose has spicy gingery malt. Hint of bourbon. Sweet oak. Tart and juicy grape. Taste is super juicy and lightly tart. Unreal mouthfeel here. Foamy and soft and clean. Absolutely no hint of the ABV. Juicy with a baby pucker to finish. Quality.
