The recipe is 100% Franconian Pilsner malt and a lot of hops - a blend of five varieties. The main character comes from Tettnanger that we added at the end of the boil and in the whirlpool. Herbaceous, floral, dry and uncompromisingly bitter, the kind of pils we love to drink!

Bottle from Hoptimism. Appearance - lightly hazy and golden. White lacing. Nose - green beans, bitter salad. Sweetcorn and bready notes too. Taste - endive, raddichio leave. Dry, corn and bread backdrop. Palate - light bodied, long bitter finish. Overall - lovely stuff. Like first reviewer, I could do a barrel of this. That's how to make a lager!

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from All Good Beer. Pours clear yellow gold, lightly effervescent, with a soft, frothy white head. Lightly sweet with notes of cracked grains, strong grassy bitterness, hay, faint biscuits. Light bodied with delicate, massaging carbonation. Dry and bitter on the finish, more forward grassy hops, straw, crispy biscuits. Sound.

Bottle. Little Leeds Beer House online shop. Moderate haze on a pale to medium gold. Fine and dense, messy white head. Looks well. Nose has sweaty grain. Yeasty bread. Mild hop spice. Some notes of cut greenery. Taste is sweet and punchy, hop leaf bitter. Light to medium body. Foamy carbonation. Lingering hop spice bitterness to finish. Could do an unhealthy amount of this.
