Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Premier Hop. Pours clear gold with a bubbly head that fades out quickly - a bit lacking in condition. Light sweet flavour, somewhat funky, a little drying oak, white grape, tangerine, a whisper of vanilla. Medium bodied, soft, just perceptions of faint carbonation. Decent balance in the finish, some white wine aspects, light dryness, biscuits, salt, lemony tang. Tasty, enjoyable.

Bottle, via Pastore’s online shop. Slightly muddy looking, medium gold. Light to medium haze. Some suds of white just about disappear. Nose has white wine. Grape must. Apple pomace. Plenty of oak. Touch of funk. Some leather. Smells good. Taste has a moderate, oaky, fruit sweetness. A little dry. Mouthfeel is pretty thin, verging on watery, with low carbonation. Lacks body and any kind of oomph, unfortunately. Finishes similarly thin. Started off great, but it’s somewhat lacking overall.
