Light amber ale with a distinct fruity aroma combined with a pleasing fruit and malt taste. With a beautiful sweet finish it is understandable why this is an incredibly popular ale with all who try it.

Half pint, cask ale, hand-pulled at Port Street Beer House in Manchester. Decent off-white head, blanketing the glass. Clear amber coloured body. The aroma is dry with dusty hops and a note of almond. Malt-fruity taste including a touch of grapefruit and almond. Smooth malt bitter endnotes. Nice (07.07.2012).

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium yellow orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, fruity, citrus. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120119]

(Cask at Welkin JDW, Liverpool, 19 July 2009) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with citrus peel, biscuity malt and a touch of butter (diacetyl?). Fruity taste with notes of citrus, biscuity malt and fairly fresh hops in the finish. Decent bitter with a nice hop character. Unsure of the condition though.
