Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Opened with barely a whisper, which isn’t a new thing for North Riding. Pours a pretty still, deep reddy brown. No head. Smells significantly better than it looks, with loads of Cartmel like sticky toffee pudding. There’s not a lot to add, really. It’s nailed on. Taste is expectedly sticky sweet. Some vinous bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel. Easy belies the ABV. Very fine carbonation, verging on flat. Lingering bitterness to finish, balances the sticky sweetness pretty well.
