Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. It’s in a 500ml bottle, and it states on the label that it’s brewed in collaboration with Wilde Child. This is a Five Towns beer, I’m sure. Anyhoo. Cloudy, dark cola brown. Ring of loose, dirty beige head. Not particularly a looker. Nose has black cherry ice cream. Chocolate milkshake syrup. Chocolate protein shake. Some nutty dark chocolate. It’s very chocolatey, albeit a little artificial. Taste is pretty sweet, with a light cherry tartness. Smooth mouthfeel. Drinks easy at the substantial ABV. Soft carbonation. Tart and sweet finish. It’s ok, but you’d expect way better from the description.

Cask @ Crown & Kettle, Manchester. Black with lightly sweetened roasted malts, which are quite milky as you might expect from the name. Its strength gives it a lot of depth.
