Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Fairly muddy brown. No head. Nose has tar. Gravy browning. Sweet sherry. Some notes of damson, but overall this smells like a well oxidised barley wine. Taste is super sweet, with a big hit of vinous, tar like bitterness. Medium body. Booze is fairly well hidden. Low carbonation. Big bitterness on the finish comes across metallic and savoury at the same time. Wow.
