Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Light haze on a dark, deep cola colour. Fine beige head stays the course. Nose has Pontefract Cakes. Aniseed sweets. Some coffee grinds. Some dark malt. Taste has a light, fruity sweetness. A little dry. A little bitter. Lots of liquorice character. Light to medium body. Fairly smooth. Fine carbonation. Finish is full on liquorice. Nice enough, but I’d definitely not manage more than one.
